Narendra Modi Stadium

The biggest cricket stadium in the world is called Narendra Modi Stadium, which is situated close to the Sabarmati River. To advance the province’s cricket prowess, the stadium was established in 1982. 49,000 cricket fans could formerly fit at the stadium.

In October 2015, the Gujarat Cricket Association decided to renovate the stadium and make it the largest cricket stadium in the world under the direction of then-GCA President and current Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. More than 1.3 lakh cricket fans may now watch matches there thanks to the rehabilitation project, which was finished in February 2020. The 90,000-seat Melbourne Cricket Ground was outnumbered by the brand-new Narendra Modi Stadium, shattering the previous record.
